Passport Information
**Failure to be on time, have all documents completed and proper payment ready, could result in the rescheduling of your appointment**
All applicants (Including Children) must be present
- Rockwall County Passport Facility needs (2) two separate payments
First, bring a separate check or money order payable to the "U.S. Dept. of State"
to submit with your application
If you have more than one person with you or in your family applying for a passport, please provide a separate check for each application as they are attached to each individual DS-11 application form. Indicate the applicant's full name and complete date of birth in the memo area of your check or money order

Second, bring a separate payment for the District Clerk processing fees. If more than one person in your group is applying, all the fees can be combined and paid to our office. Acceptable payment methods are cash, check, money order, or a debit/credit card. Make checks or money orders out to the "Rockwall County District Clerk."
Extra Mail Option
You can choose to buy an Express Mail Stamp at the post office before your appointment. This lets your application arrive in 1 - 3 days. Tell the post office worker that the stamp is for sending a passport application by Express Mail.
District Clerk processing fees are as follows:
Execution fee: $35 for each application
Photo fee: $15 for each application
Copy fee: $1.00 per copy
How long are the processing times for passport books and cards
Regular service: 4 - 6 weeks
Expedited service (books only) : 2 - 3 weeks
. DS-11 U.S. Passport Application filled out in black ink and not signed
. Primary U.S. Citizenship evidence, Certified Birth Certificate, and recent Passport Book
. Valid Driver's License or other Identification documents
. Applicants that are 16 - 17 years old and don't have a state issued ID can bring a valid School ID and their Social Security Card to submit with their application
. Any other documents required for submission, such as a Court Order or Marriage License must be either the original or a certified copy. For more information in

**Applicants must submit a legible black and white copy of their Birth Certificate or U.S. Citizenship evidence and Identification documents. The District Clerk's Office charges $1.00 per copy as a convenience if none are provided**

**Always use the official ".gov" site when looking up information on U.S. Passports. Sites that end in .com or .org are NOT the Official State Department site and may charge you extra fees, steal your information, submit false data on your behalf, or retain your data even if you don't complete an application**
Rockwall County's Acceptance Facility does not process adult U.S. Passport renewals using the DS-82 application form. These are handled through the travel.state.gov website per U.S. Department of State guidelines. Our Office will be glad to review these applications, take a photo if needed, and provide further instructions as well as mailing processes.
